Dear Pastor Frees, Youth Leaders and CommunityUnited Methodist Church Members,
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I write today to extend my deepest
expressions of thanks, for allowing your Youth Members to be a part of
our newly formed Worship and Praise program at Riverbend Resort. All I
can say is WOW!!! This group of young people was impressive! The commitment
and dedication of each member and team leader was clearly evident. You
can all be extremely proud of all of these people.
Our ministry program was new to Riverbend this year and is still in the
infant stages. Your presence this past week-end took our program to new
heights. The message these folks presented reached over 50 people at their
morning Worship and Praise celebration. The poolside program on Saturday
afternoon again was awesome! I saw young people (spectators) jump up and
join in with the hip hop program. When the whistle blew to end the pool
break and allow swimmers to return to the pool, everyone remained in their
seats with the exception of a few youngsters.
To the young people who were at Riverbend; Thank You, you are all truly
blessed and talented. You have a unique way of reaching out to others with
God's Word and "they hear it!" I am extremely proud of each one
of you, your ministering brought tears of joy to many eyes, you touched
many hearts; deeply. Not only was your performance admirable, your conduct
individually and as a group showed your commitment and love to your team, your
church and to Jesus Christ himself. I look forward to next summer. I thank
you for helping our Campground Ministry, through this experience we have
all grown deeper in our faith, it's a win, win situation.
Thank you to all the members of Community United Methodist Church who believe
in these young folks! God is Good and He is hard at work through CUMC!
