Resources and Assistance

Community UMC has a Food Pantry that is open between 4:00 & 6:00 pm the first & third Wednesday of each month. If you are in need of additional assistance we support the following organizations to help them serve you in your time of need.

Transitional Living Center
Since 1993, the Transitional Living Center (TLC) has been dedicated to addressing the needs of the homeless in the Burlington Area. TLC’s primary focus is providing transitional living housing for women and children. TLC is able to house 15-20 adults and children in our Guest House and Morrow House duplex.

Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is serving more people in the USA than ever before. We are already seeing large increases in the number of Americans seeking the basic necessities of life – food, shelter, and warmth. More than 30 million people received help from The Salvation Army in 2008, but the magnitude of the mission facing The Salvation Army in communities throughout the United States remains great.

Grief Assistance
If you are struggling or know someone who is, we have grief assistance packets available that include local resources for grief groups, a book on grief and other information. Prayer is also available.  You do not need to be a member to receive this packet.
Please call the church office at 534-2313 to request a packet or share a prayer request.

Additional grief support can be found by contacting Integrity Funeral Services at or 262-514-4600, Grief Share support groups are offered regularly in the church Fellowship Hall.   Contact Cindi at Integrity for a book and session dates and times.

If you would like someone to pray for you or someone you know, please call the church office at 534-2313. Our prayer teams will gladly pray for you. You do not need to be a member. You can share as much or as little information as you desire. What’s prayed here stays here.

College Scholarship
CUMC serves as trustee for a scholarship available to full-time students attending a Christian college. The scholarship is available to students in the western part of Racine County. The applicant must be a high school senior. If received, students can reapply through four years of college.
